Pastor Chibuzor Gifts Widow His Lincoln Navigator During Church Service: Gift Goes Out as Gift

Nigerian cleric Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has shared a powerful story of compassion and generosity after gifting his Lincoln Navigator SUV to a poor widow in his church, an act that turned her tears of sorrow into tears of joy. The emotional moment occurred during a Sunday service when the pastor noticed the woman, who regularly cleans the church altar without pay, crying throughout his sermon. Moved by her visible distress, he decided to act immediately, calling her forward and handing over the keys to his luxury vehicle in front of the congregation.

The widow, known for her quiet dedication and selfless service, had been a regular at the church, meticulously cleaning the altar without receiving any form of compensation. Pastor Chinyere recalled that as he preached, he saw her seated in the fifth row, wiping away tears with a handkerchief, a sight that deeply affected him. “As I was preaching, I saw one poor widow seated at the fifth row in the church that is always cleaning the alter free of charge without collecting salary. Throughout my preaching she was crying and cleaning her tears with handkerchief,” he wrote in his account.

Determined to bring her joy, the pastor asked himself, “What can I do to turn the tears of pain of this widow to tears of joy?” His answer came in the form of the Lincoln Navigator, a vehicle he had received as a gift from a generous church member. He did not purchase the car himself, but chose to pass it on as a divine act of kindness. “And I did not buy the Lincoln Navigator, it was a gift from a member. So gift also goes out as gift and GOD IS HAPPY,” he stated.

After receiving the car, the widow was later approached by a wealthy church member who bought the vehicle from her and transferred the proceeds directly into her bank account. This ensured she received financial support without the burden of selling the car herself. Pastor Chinyere emphasized that the gesture was not about the car, but about transforming pain into joy through faith and compassion.

The story has since gone viral online, resonating with many Nigerians who admire the pastor’s humility and generosity. It highlights the power of empathy in leadership and the ripple effect of kindness within religious communities. As the church continues to grow in spirit and service, this act stands as a testament to how one moment of compassion can change a life forever. The story serves as a reminder that true wealth lies not in possessions, but in the ability to uplift others.
