Olakunle Churchill Shares Heartwarming Birthday Moment with Son King Andre: I See Greatness

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has sparked widespread online attention after sharing an emotional video of his son, King Andre, during a birthday celebration, highlighting their deep bond and shared personality traits. The heartfelt clip, posted on social media, shows Churchill reflecting on his son’s quiet but joyful dance moves, drawing parallels to his own youthful self. He captioned the post: “He’s a shy dancer today, just like I once was. Growth has a beautiful way of repeating itself. In his quiet moves, I see the same dance steps, the same joy. I see greatness.” The post quickly went viral, generating thousands of reactions and comments from fans and followers.

Many users praised the tender moment between father and son, with some describing them as “unbothered Baba and his twin.” Others appreciated the visible affection and emotional connection, noting how rare such genuine displays are in public figures. However, not all reactions were positive. Some critics, including user @thereal_bim, commented, “Church is so petty ehn,” while @tk_tash added, “This Churchill no well o. Back to back. Who want to die make e die.” Despite the criticism, the majority of responses focused on the warmth and authenticity of the video. Humorous reactions also emerged, with @vickyempire28 joking, “E come be like say juju don clear. Make nobody attack me, I don too watch Nollywood.” The video continues to trend, with many viewers expressing admiration for Churchill’s parenting and emotional openness.

In another development, human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has raised alarm over alleged police brutality during a protest in Delta State. He was present at the Uvwie-Effurun Area Command to mediate a peaceful demonstration seeking justice for the late Mene Ogidi, also known as Oghenemine. Gwamnishu and other activists had visited the deceased’s family before heading to the police station, where they waited for the Delta State Commissioner of Police, who had promised to address the matter. When the commissioner failed to appear, tensions rose as community members arrived in large numbers and blocked the road.

Gwamnishu stepped in to de-escalate the situation, but instead of calming the crowd, he alleged that police officers fired tear gas canisters into the gathering. The chaos worsened when a group of armed men, reportedly sponsored by the Ekpan Community Chairman, stormed the scene with cutlasses and pump-action rifles, attacking protesters and causing injuries. In a series of Instagram posts, Gwamnishu demanded accountability, calling for a formal apology from the police commissioner and compensation for damaged property, including his lost phone and torn clothes. He also requested medical support for the injured. Despite being exposed to tear gas, he reassured followers that he was unharmed, writing, “I nor cause any problem but only mediated, but Police bath me with TearGas. I am SAFE and unhurt. Thanks for all your concerns.” He concluded with a call for justice, tagging hashtags like #EndPoliceBrutality and #alwaysfilmthepolice. The incident has drawn national attention and underscores ongoing concerns about law enforcement conduct in Nigeria.
