Businessman Blord Shares Moment with Peter Obi Amid Legal Tensions with VDM

Businessman Blord has confirmed an unexpected meeting with Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate, during his journey to Lagos to inspect his real estate project, “Lagos Estate City of David 2.0.” The encounter, which took place on Tuesday, April 28, was shared by Blord on social media, where he expressed admiration for Obi’s vision for national development. In his post, Blord wrote, “On my way to Lagos to inspect the development in my Lagos Estate City of David 2.0, I bumped into His Excellency Mr Peter Obi. I appreciated his efforts for a better Nigeria. A new Nigeria is possible.”

The meeting occurred amid heightened public attention on Blord, who recently spent over 20 days in Kuje prison following a legal dispute with social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM). The two were seen together in court on Monday, April 27, marking their first direct interaction since Blord’s release. VDM had filed a lawsuit against Blord, accusing him of fraud and copyright infringement. The court session was reportedly tense, with both parties exchanging sharp words during proceedings.

Despite the legal friction, Blord and his legal team reportedly approached VDM in an attempt to de-escalate the situation and possibly persuade him to withdraw the case. However, VDM refused, maintaining his stance that he would not back down. He also accused activist Omoyele Sowore of influencing the case, claiming that such developments only reinforced his decision to continue with the legal action.

The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with users offering varied interpretations. Some suggested that VDM’s refusal to engage Blord in a respectful manner may stem from pride, while others highlighted Blord’s respectful demeanor in the face of adversity. One user, @It’z Handsomemeka, commented, “You will be the last person vdm will fight again…they didn’t inform him before he came to you now he’s running.” Another, @Chi Chi Ezinwa, noted, “If it were to be that Bini boy pride will not let him greet Mr. Obi, he will be expecting Me. Obi to notice him first.”

Blord’s project, Lagos Estate City of David 2.0, is part of his broader real estate ambitions in Nigeria’s commercial capital. The meeting with Peter Obi, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s political landscape, adds a new layer to Blord’s public profile, especially as he navigates both legal challenges and business expansion. As Nigeria continues to grapple with economic and political transitions, encounters like this highlight the intersection of business, politics, and public scrutiny. The future of Blord’s legal case and his real estate ventures will likely remain under close watch.
