Apostle Chibuzor Offers Free Accommodation and Logistics Support for Nigerians Returning from South Africa

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has announced a humanitarian initiative offering free accommodation to Nigerians returning from South Africa, with dedicated housing estates already prepared for those without homes in Nigeria. The announcement, shared via a post on his Instagram page, comes as many Nigerians face increasing challenges abroad due to xenophobic attacks, immigration issues, and economic hardship. The church has committed to providing immediate shelter, transportation, and basic needs for returnees, fully funded through tithes and offerings from its congregation.

In his post, Apostle Chinyere revealed that a new group of Nigerians had recently arrived from South Africa and emphasized that couples without housing in Nigeria are welcome to stay in the OPM estate at no cost. He stated, “I just received the information that more Nigerians have arrived from South Africa. Couples that don’t have any house in Nigeria to come back to are welcomed to a free estate purchased specially for them. The OPM estate is 100% free of charge.” The estate is designed to offer temporary and long-term shelter for returnees seeking stability and safety.

To ensure a smooth transition, the church has arranged for a free bus to pick up families directly from the airport and transport them to the ministry’s facility. There, returnees will undergo necessary documentation before being relocated to the housing estate. Apostle Chinyere also addressed concerns about food, assuring returnees that they will be fed until the church finalizes arrangements with a new catering service. He added, “Please don’t be angry, you will feed yourself till next week while we conclude arrangements with a new catering service. Everything is fully funded through tithes and offerings from OPM Church.”

The cleric urged patience from the returnees, noting that interim feeding and logistical plans are still being put in place. This gesture is part of a broader effort by the church to support Nigerians facing displacement and uncertainty. The initiative has drawn widespread praise on social media, with many commending Apostle Chinyere for his compassion and leadership during a time of national concern.

As xenophobic tensions in South Africa continue to affect the Nigerian diaspora, the OPM’s housing program stands as a significant step toward easing the reintegration of returnees. The church’s actions highlight the role of faith-based organizations in addressing humanitarian needs, offering both shelter and hope to those returning home. This initiative may inspire similar efforts across Nigeria as communities respond to the growing number of returnees seeking safety and stability.
