Nollywood actress Beverly Osu has revealed that she once considered a life in the convent, with plans to become a Reverend Sister before eventually finding her way into the entertainment industry.

GistLover reports that she made this known during an appearance on the Creativtea Podcast, where she reflected on how her strict Catholic upbringing influenced her early aspirations and life choices.

According to her, she spent her childhood in Lagos, living in different areas such as Surulere, Yaba, and Ojuelegba, which she described as key parts of her growing-up experience in the city.

Beverly further shared that she attended the Daughters of Divine Love Juniorate in Enugu, a period that deepened her interest in pursuing a religious vocation.

The reality TV star noted that at that stage of her life, she was genuinely convinced she would eventually join a religious order.

She explained that her admiration for the structured and disciplined lifestyle of priests and Reverend Sisters played a major role in her thoughts at the time.

She added that she was particularly drawn to their neat appearance and sense of order, saying her own appreciation for cleanliness made the idea of that lifestyle very appealing to her.

“I was meant to be a Reverend Sister. I wanted to really be a Reverend Sister. Now, I am doing God’s work in other ways.

“I love how they dress. Because I am meticulous and very neat, I just loved how clean the priests and Reverend Sisters were. Literally, that was it.”
