All Hope Is Not Lost – Apostle Chibuzor Offers Free Housing, Schools and Support to Nigerians Returning From South Africa

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), has announced a comprehensive welfare programme offering free housing and support to Nigerian families stranded in South Africa who wish to return and settle in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The initiative, unveiled in a widely shared online statement, aims to provide temporary accommodation, free education for children, vocational training, business support, and daily meals to returning families as they rebuild their lives in Nigeria. The cleric revealed that he recently acquired a mini estate in Port Harcourt specifically for this purpose, positioning it as a safe haven for those seeking a fresh start.

According to Apostle Chibuzor, the programme is open to Nigerian married couples currently living in South Africa who are ready to return home. He emphasized that all hope is not lost and urged those interested to consider relocating to Port Harcourt, where they will be housed and supported until they regain stability. The ministry will enroll the children of beneficiaries into its free OPM schools, while wives will receive assistance to start small businesses. Husbands will also be offered free vocational training to enhance their employability and income-generating capacity.

In addition to housing and education, the programme includes one free meal per day for each family member during their resettlement period. This holistic approach seeks to address immediate survival needs while building long-term self-sufficiency. The announcement has generated significant reactions across social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing gratitude and admiration for the cleric’s humanitarian gesture. Some users praised the initiative as genuine and faith-driven, with one Twitter user calling Apostle Chibuzor a “true king” and commending his “genuine Christianity.”

However, not all responses were positive. Several online users urged caution, calling for verification of the programme’s legitimacy to prevent potential scams. One user warned about possible exploitation, especially of vulnerable women and children, while another advised against blindly trusting the announcement without proper checks. Despite the skepticism, many Nigerians, especially those based in Port Harcourt, expressed interest in the opportunity, with one user stating they would begin attending OPM services to explore the offer.

The initiative highlights growing concerns about the plight of Nigerians in South Africa, many of whom face harsh conditions and increasing xenophobic violence. Apostle Chibuzor’s offer stands out as a rare example of religious leadership taking concrete action to support repatriation and reintegration. As more Nigerians consider returning home, this programme may serve as a model for other faith-based or community-led efforts. The future of this initiative will depend on its implementation, transparency, and the number of families it ultimately reaches.
