African Democratic Congress (ADC) Denies Endorsing Any Candidate for 2026 Osun Governorship Poll
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports claiming it has endorsed a candidate for the 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, debunked viral videos and social media posts suggesting that the party had already picked a flag bearer.
He described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard them, noting that the ADC had already released and widely circulated its official timetable for the conduct of party primaries.
“For the purpose of conducting the primaries to elect the party’s flag bearer for the 2026 governorship election in Osun, a timetable has been released and widely publicised. All aspirants are urged to adhere strictly to the guidelines,” Abdullahi said.
He added that the ADC remained committed to upholding internal democracy through a free, fair, and transparent selection process. (NAN)
