The All Progressives Congress in Kogi State has scheduled December 6, 2025, for its primary election ahead of the 2026 local government polls.
The announcement was made in Lokoja by the State Chairman, Abdullahi Bello, who released the full timetable for the party’s activities. He explained that expression of interest forms will cost N500,000, while nomination forms are fixed at N2 million. Women and persons with disabilities are only required to pay for the interest form.
According to the timetable, the sale of forms will run from November 27 to December 1. Submission of completed forms is set for December 2 and 3. Screening of aspirants will take place on December 4, followed by appeals and the release of the final list on December 5. The primary election will hold on December 6.
Bello assured party members that the process will be transparent and peaceful. He appealed to aspirants to maintain decorum and work in line with party guidelines. He also commended supporters for their loyalty and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends under the current administration.
