Ingredients
- 500g self-raising flour
- 230g butter
- 120ml milk
- 2 egg yolks (plus extra for glazing)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 400g sausage meat
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper (optional)
- 1 bouillon cube
Steps to Follow
- Step 1: Remove sausage meat from casings, place in a bowl. Mix with black pepper, ground pepper, and crumbled bouillon cube. Set aside.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add butter and mix with hands until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Step 3: Add egg yolks and milk to the flour mixture. Mix thoroughly until dough forms. Let rest for 15 minutes in refrigerator.
- Step 4: On a floured surface, roll dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into rectangles.
- Step 5: Place sausage meat in a line along one edge of each rectangle.
