Bolt Celebrates Heroes of Ride-Hailing with Nationwide Customer Appreciation Week
Leading mobility platform Bolt has launched an extensive customer appreciation campaign across Nigeria, recognizing the essential contributions of both drivers and passengers who form the backbone of its ride-hailing service.
The week-long celebration, dubbed “Bolt Says Thanks” and “Our Daily Heroes,” features a comprehensive rewards program designed to acknowledge the company’s key stakeholders in multiple Nigerian cities.
In a significant gesture of appreciation, Bolt is distributing ₦5,000 Chicken Republic meal vouchers to 300 drivers across ten cities. Lagos-based drivers receive additional recognition, with 150 of them invited to a special luncheon at the Bolt Driver Engagement Centre, complete with entertainment and prize-winning opportunities through lucky dip sessions.
The company has also created engaging experiences for its riders. At Ikeja City Mall, Bolt has established an interactive hub where customers can participate in games and win prizes. Social media enthusiasts can join an Instagram Bingo competition, with one fortunate participant set to win ₦1 million in ride credits.
Additional rewards being distributed throughout the week include spa treatments, shopping vouchers, and meal certificates, demonstrating Bolt’s commitment to its loyal customer base in Nigeria’s competitive ride-hailing market.
Osi Oguah, General Manager of Bolt Nigeria, emphasized the company’s motivation behind the initiative: “At Bolt, we believe our drivers and riders are the real heroes who make what we do possible every single day. This week is about saying thank you to them for their dedication, loyalty, and the positive spirit they bring to our community. ‘Bolt Says Thanks’ is our way of celebrating their everyday efforts and showing that we truly appreciate them.”
The celebration underscores a crucial reality in the ride-hailing industry: while technological innovation drives efficiency, the human element – represented by dedicated drivers navigating city traffic and trusted riders choosing the service – remains fundamental to the platform’s success.
This Customer Service Week initiative reflects Bolt’s recognition that beyond algorithms and applications, it’s the people who truly power the platform’s daily operations and continued growth in Nigeria’s urban transportation landscape.
