Lagos is gearing up for what promises to be an extraordinary night of praise and worship as THE EXPERIENCE celebrates its milestone 20th anniversary. On Friday, December 5th, 2025, the historic Tafawa Balewa Square will transform into a massive open-air sanctuary, hosting what has become known as the world’s largest gospel concert.
Under the powerful theme “JESUS UNITED,” this year’s edition, spearheaded by House On The Rock Church’s Metropolitan Senior Pastor Paul Adefarasin, is set to continue its two-decade legacy of bringing together believers from every corner of Nigeria and beyond. What started as a vision has blossomed into a phenomenon that annually draws hundreds of thousands of worshippers under the Lagos night sky.
The star-studded lineup reads like a who’s who of gospel music, featuring international sensations Travis Greene and Israel Houghton alongside Nigerian powerhouses Sinach and Mercy Chinwo. The event will also welcome fresh faces to its stage, with Tolu Odukoya and Gaise Baba making their Experience debuts. Other acclaimed artists set to minister include Chevelle Franklyn, Onos Ariyo, Beejay Sax, Muyiwa Olarewaju, Dunsin Oyekan, Mike Aremu, Naomi Raine, Chandler Moore, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Frank Edwards, Mr. M & Revelation, Moses Bliss, Bidemi Olaoba, and the Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir (LMGC).
Safety remains paramount for the organizers, who have left no stone unturned in their preparations. Working hand-in-hand with the Lagos State Government, they’ve implemented comprehensive security measures and emergency response systems, including partnerships with the Red Cross and various security agencies. These preparations ensure that worshippers can focus purely on their spiritual experience throughout the night.
While the event attracts VIPs from business, politics, and clergy, its heart remains firmly rooted in its founding principle of accessibility – The Experience remains free for all attendees, embodying its message of unity and inclusion. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the concert will run through the night, creating a unique atmosphere where social status, denominational differences, and national boundaries dissolve in the presence of worship.
As Lagos prepares to host this landmark 20th edition, The Experience stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith and unity in Christ. When the sun rises on Saturday, December 6th, it will illuminate not just the end of a concert, but the continuation of a legacy that has been two decades in the making – one that continues to proclaim “JESUS UNITED” across Nigeria and beyond.
